Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...What you think of him is all that should matter. My cute and your cute are 2 (or could be possibly) different things. I'm sure there are things about your friends' friends that you may not care for but you don't think less of your friend for it do you?

Your friends' opinions are not the most important thing here because you are the one he'll be going out with, not them!!
Don't be so concerned with what they think. If you think he's cute, then that's all that matters.
If you don't want him to meet them, eventually he'll wonder why. He may think you're either ashamed of him or worried that he'll try to go out w/one of your friends.
Have confidence in yourself and your choice!

I actually have felt that way before with my bf.
Then I felt awful and shallow and couldnt believe I had even thought that.
If you care about him thats all that matters.
and if your friends are going to meet your bf, tell them that you think hes amazing, inside and out, and if they dont agree they can keep there opinions to themselves. Youre not asking them to date him!

Of course they want to know if hes fit, thats what people ask, thats what people are attracted to.
You obviously like him more for his personality, your friends will not say to you he's ugly, they will however talk about it. This is where you say he's not the most handsome of people but he makes me happy and you enjoy his company, your friends will prefer this and will like him for who he is and how he makes you feel.
