I have windows media player and I am trying to burn a disc and it says that you may need a different program or the disc is scratched or the speed may need to be changed but neither is working. what do i do.

go into the kitchen and look for some book matches or posibilly a gas stove, this has been the most sucessful method of burning any thing in my house

If its on a laptop, it may have worn out. My friend and I burnt a lot of CDs for our band, and his just wore out after a while. Other than that, try a different program or a different disk.

Try burning it with a different program (i.e. Sonic/Roxio/WinDVD, etc.), if that doesn't work then just use another disk.

try washing it gently in warm water... pat dry.
