Why would you only pick up a piece of trash off the ground only to drop it again? That sounds a little crazy to me. And asking this question is even crazier. Are you on something?

i think that depends on how it happened. if you picked up a piece of paper trash and then just tossed it, sure, littering. and no officer giving you a ticket can be sure that it wasn't your trash.
if you tried to do the right thing and throw away some trash, but found upon closer review that the trash was too disgusting to transport and dropped it, totally understandable to feel that you don't want to have to deal with it.

Wouldn't that be considered Re-Littering? something like re-cycling. That's it! You are a Re-cycling Littering type of person if you do this.
When you pick up a piece of trash off the ground, you should just place it on a proper container and not become a re-cycling litterer...
hummmm....

Yes. If a cop sees you drop it you get the littering ticket. Besides what's the point in picking it up if you are just going to drop it again.

Yes, consider this. Pick up everyone's trash, separate the valuables and the cash recyclables (aluminum, Steel etc...), then bring back the leftovers and dump them back where you found them. I'm sure this would get you in some sort of trouble with the law.

If you pick it up, it's your responsibility to throw it away. By your avatar I would assume your a hippie, though, and you don't even pick up your own trash.
Just playing...about the trash...not about you looking like some old hippie trippin' on acid.

No, but why not throw it in the trash if you pick it up.
Of course, if a cop sees you drop it he/she will most likely write you a ticket.

Well, actually youre RE-littering. Since someone already littered, youre just doing it again. Hence, youre just as guilty as the first person. Comprendo? Cool;)
