I like the name too! I've wondered too about what people think. Most people will say they don't like it (mostly bc it's a car). Besides it assiocated with a name of a car, I believe it's a dashing name for a girl or woman. So what it is a car mercedes, avalon, lexus, corvette, chevy, sierra, sienna, sedona, corolla, verona, sable etc...those are names too. Another way to look at it, is other things are named after them, like Reese's candy bar(names after someone), Pontiac was an Indian leader (which is car). Merecedes and Wendy's are names of daughters, but do people make fun of those names? No, not really! And for crip sake people nowadays are naming their girls Mackenzie (mind as well call the the kid Mcdonald's) and Madison; that are one of the top names in the U.S. (these are last names with no real meaning, weren't names before and were made up but people just like the sound of it). Girl Names: Taylor, Tyler Jordan, Aaron, Jon, Charlie, Jo, Ashley, Andy, Danny, Billie, Bobby,Wil,Toni, Riley,Ryan, Reese, Morgan, Robin, Chriss, Kyle, Aiden, Alex, Terry (most of these were just boy names that trurn to girl to names) and Boy names: Marilyn, Casey, Jesse, Leslie, Alice, Haley, Tracey etc...(those were girl names). Any name can be made fun of, so either way people are just going to pick on people about there names rather or not, it's associated with something, so what it matters to the kid. But when it grows up that's the difference. You would want something unique that makes them special and catches their personality, but also stays with them the rest of their lives.
I say name the baby what you want. I looked up the meaning Camry before, it means "crown" in Japanese, also I think either way the spelling is suitable too. Other alternatives are that I found were similar Camryn or Kamryn, Kamari, Kamarae, and Kamaria.

I sounds nice, but you have to keep in mind that the Toyota Camry is spelled almost identically.

It's not terrible but some people may laugh because it's a car. Its better than Lexus, Porsche and Mercedes though...

Like the car? I know, I know it's spelled differently, big deal. Still sounds like the car name. NO, it's a horrible name for a child, boy or girl. Why would anyone do that to their child?

to be honest, a middle name does no good.. in school no one will call her first, middle, then last name. its just going to be her first and last name, everyday, in every class, every school year, untill she graduated college. and even after that.. on her business cards its gona say "Anita dick"... i would consider a different name. she will be made fun of.. and it could lead to sexual harassment from boys. its a cruel thing to do to her. i understand it would suck to lose the name, but she will hate what she will have to go through, and im sure thats more important to u then anything else..... SEE!! PEOPLE ON HERE ARE ALREADY MAKING FUN OF THE NAME! dont do it to her.
