Good question, I highly doubt that anyone of us would be told about it one way or another. I always wish that if one does happen to land, it will do so in my property in the country, where I can take thousands of digital and 35mm film pictures, hours of video tape and tape recordings...then make millions selling it to every tabloid, newspaper & news media in the world...On second thought, that would be a bad idea. The government would have me killed, and claim it's a hoax.

I suspect that they wouldn't land on earth at all....... They'd spot the international space station orbitting the planet has people living on it and so they'd go visit there. That way, all those awkward questions about having to go public with the existence of alien life forms could be kept quiet, and the benefits to humanity shared by a number of nations discretely. As for protocol, I think that a dinner jacket would be a nice touch for such a formal occasion as first contact with another form of life but I doubt it's standard equipment for astronauts visiting the ISS!

The probability of extra-terrestrial beings ever bothering to visit a planet inhabited by monkeys who refuse to grow into human beings is far less than the probability of their existence.
It is also logical. Any intelligence with computation skills beyond that of an advanced molusc would take one look at human actiivity and designate the solar system as a 'no go' area.
When Christ returns to gather His flock He will be leaving behind 'civilisation' to complete the task of wrecking the planet but His followers will not be part of it.

The US would definitely step forward as superpower and claim the rights of being host country. They would lock up the aliens in order to do laboratory research and to use their advanced technology. They would tell the world it was another hot air balloon and we would have Roswell all over again. Maybe a new type of Stealth Fighter would be presented to the world after a couple of years.

there isn't any evidence they did (inspite of weird and wonderful, nonsensical, vigorously distorted documentaries which look on the Hysteria channel), so I lean in direction of 'probably not'. i do not clarify the actual mysteries of our historic previous. If I had an evidence, they would not be mysteries. in the adventure that they are authentic mysteries, i don't have an evidence, fairly as i'm not vulnerable to make an difficulty from lack of expertise. it must be fairly daft to assert that because there are issues we are able to not yet clarify (and word that the historic Astronaut woowoos have a tendency to insist that there are mysteries the position completely mundane, nicely-documented motives exist), extraterrestrial beings ought to've performed it.

The Protocol would entirely rest with the Aliens,
but even a rudimentary observation of our Planet
would show the complexity of our Political & International
Borders with inhabitants of such diverse cultures that
any form of contact would generate a greater divide between
ourselves than what already exists. Welcome to the Cosmic Zoo.

The protocol would be: be very polite to aliens who could cross space, they might spank us if we misbehave.
I think scientists from all over the world would make the major part of earth representatives

Not to sure how the world would react to be honest with you. I am sure diplomacy would be first protocol. I also do presume that all governments and collections will be involved. UN, NATO.
I actually belive it would be America that would take a lead into this.

ET would get his little green *** shot off because Bush would send the Army after him the moment he arrived. if he arrived in another country, Bush would invade them to get at ET in the name of "protecting Earth"

I guess it depends where they land.
If they land in North Korea, the N.Koreans will handle it.
If they land in Germany, the Germans will look after it.
If they land in France, the French will meet them.
If they land in the USA, they'll get the hell shot out of them so fast, nobody will need to speak to them.
