in my country, polygamy is considered legal. and he's not christian..so, i guess that makes it legal for him too..also, i think they said something like the reason for this marriage is because they want to spend their old age together..

My mother died about two years ago. Missed their 60th anniversery by two months. My Dad remarried 6 months later. Today, he looks ten years younger, and is happy. I loved my Mom, and love my new Mom. Give it a chance.

Alzheimer's is a terrible disease. As long as the man has not abandoned his first wife and is still providing care for her, and her children still see her, then I don't blame him for taking a 2nd wife. You should be supportive.
It's like that case where the woman in Florida was in a coma for so many years and her husband was living with another woman and had children by her. His wife was never going to wake up or get better and he deserved to have a happy life. He did everything he could to support the woman in the coma.

My best friend moved in with a guy she met on the internet after a few months and now after a year of living together they're getting married. The part I would worry about is the man dealing with the loss of his dying wife, that will be tough and is he just marrying your mother so he won't have to thikn about it? I don't know maybe they will be very happy and have a great life together.

well If i am reading this right. He cannot get married until he has a divorce decree from his other wife.
My father started dating a woman about 3 or 4 months after my mother passed away. At first it was very hard but I got to know my new step mom and she is a wonderful person.
I think she is a grown woman and should be able to make these decisions.

Definitely too fast! When the guy got married i am pretty sure he repeated the words " til death do us part". Those words are said for a reason. He shouldnt be seeing other people while his wife is terminally ill. That's so wrong!

Sounds like he wants a replacement for his wife and a mother for his kids. If it was only a month I'd say it was wrong but a few, which I assume 5 months or more,is reasonably ok. Just make sure he LOVES your mom and treats her right.

Definitely too fast! If his wife is terminally ill he isn't thinking clearly. When he "wakes up" he may just realized he only used your mom as a distraction from what he's going through & he may not want to be with her anymore.
I hope your mom is careful & doesn't get hurt!

I think you are making this up, dear, and you need something else to occupy your time. If the guy is real and is already married, as you say, then he has just become a bigamist. You might want to start your homework now.

yES THAT IS TO SOON. If he is married how did he marry your mom? I mean this poor woman has a terminal illness. Its not your fault. But slap your mom!
