Yes you can you should have no problem.If you use your laptop like on a desk and have wide space your just fine.

Yes! I bought a little baby mouse, it is really cute. It's small enough to use right on my laptop. Plug into a usb port & if you have XP it will recognize it & your good to go. You can also use your laptop mouse, too, while it is plugged in. You do not need to turn off your PC first, just plug it in.

yes u can, as long as the laptop is turned off when u plug it in, windows will notice there is a external mouse plugged in and use that rather than the onboard.
or if that doesnt work sometimes u press the fn key + key (this can be 1 of the f1-12 keys) to transfer usage to a external pc mouse.

Sure, as long as you have a port on the laptop you can plug it into. If it's a PS2 port, don't plug or unplug the mouse while the computer is powered on. If it's a USB port, you can hotplug the mouse with no problem.

Sure but u need to check what ports u have in laptop if u have onle USP port u need to get usb mouse

Yes. if you have the correct port on your laptop. Newer laptops do not have a ps2 connection. Older mice use a ps2 and not usb for thier connections.
