I went to the free STD clinic last week and found out that a yeast infection that i caught from my girlfriend 3 months ago came back. When i first had the infection i saw a little red rash close to the edge of my penis. After i used the cream for a week it dissapear, but i used the cream an extra 3 days and i see that rash again. The doctor prescribed me with Monostat. Could this break out be from using the cream to much and how do i fix it?

you may have some kind of irritation caused from this cream, you should bring your concerns to your doctor and maybe he could perscribe you something else. thats kinda funny because a good friend of mine was talking to me the other night about the exact same thing, he's having the same problem because his g/f is cheating on him.

Monistat is prescribed for yeast infection in women, but because Monistat's active ingredient, Miconazole, fights fungal infections, I assume it can be used in men as well. If after regular treatment the rash keeps resurfacing you need to visit your doctor to re examine and determine if you need a stronger medicine. Have in mind that bacteria and viruses have the ability to evolve, making some treatments ineffective. Because rashes comprise a wide variety of forms and vary from person to person, I would recommend you getting tested for other STD's as well, specially herpes, just for peace of mind. Its always good to know, that way you can protect, prevent, and treat.

Just keep it clean and keep using the cream and get a new g/f.
