I purchased a suit the other day and it came with free tayloring. It fits okay but now I'd like to have a suit taylored made for me. But instead of buying a taylor made suit, I'd like to have the suit I already have taylored as if it was made just for me. Is this possible? And where can I go to have this done? I want the pants and the jacket all fitted to me. Any help would be much appreciated. Oh yea, and what might this cost me?

You will have to find a tailor in your area. Check with a mens clothing store. Anyone that I have ever known that has been able to have a suit tailor made to them, has spent many hundreds of dollars, and have had to go in for multiple fittings for everything to be perfect. I do not think that it would be possible to retailer (refashion) a previously purchased suit, only because there will not be a lot of "extra" fabric to work with in the refashioning process, all of the excess fabric will have been taken out of the seams in the finishing process. The one problem with a tailor-made suit is that you have to be diligent about keeping your weight and your physical shape exactly the same, or the suit will no longer fit correctly. I know some men who own businesses, and who wear tailor made suits and spend $1,200.00 per suit. They look great, but that's a lot of money; unless you are wealthy. Good luck and have a good day!

I'm not sure I totally understand. But if you want a suit you already own tailored to you that is fairly easy (as long as you got it with enough fabric to do tailoring). Find a tailor in your area (yellow pages or ask a friend for a recommendation). Then go there and have them pin it and then they will tailor the suit to fit you. It should probably cost around 100 dollars (depending on what your metropolis area is). Good luck.

There are some cleaners who do alterations. Also, look in the yellow pages and get the phone numbers of these places and call them for an estimate. It would be a ball park figure because until you actually have it fitted, they don't know the amount of labor involved. You are probably looking at 10-20 dollars.

you can go to a dry cleaner that offers tailoring. usually it will run around 70-100 bucks depending on what is needed to be done. you can also go to places like Burlington Coat Factory but I think their prices are a bit steeper.
