Well, really. I didn't even know what associational culture was at first, and figured it had something to do with my own field of work, which is associational in the sense of migrant groups retaining the culture of origin.
But yours is not that. Google and you get lots of academic stuff that should give you your answer.
You wouldn't want me to do your homework for you, would you? Now I'm going off to my club to be associational and to be polite.

Lazarus Long says courtesy is the grease that keeps society running. Clearest explanation I ever heard.
As for your posted question...what distinctive associational culture? And why just in 18th Century England?
Scientifically, the question posed for discussion is sadly lacking in definition and parameter. Heck! As it is asked, you could rattle on for pages without getting anywhere. And pick your particular association to boot.

Though this is believed to be an era of gentleness and manners it was infact just a facade! It is similar in kin to all the talc and perfume worn at this time to hide an unclean body and mask stale sweat smells. The period was very bitchy with lots of backstabbing and nastiness about. Society in general has and is always so!

in the merry month of Liverpool in the city of July,
the snow was raining heavily, but the streets were very dry,
the elephant is a dainty bird as it flits from tree to tree,
it makes its nest in a rhubarb bush and whistles like a cow !
