If its true we will deal with it when any problems arises, just like during the dust bowl. But righ now I think its a waste of time to discuss it.

If you knew a car was heading towards a cliff, do you start to put on the breaks after the front wheels have gone over, or now?

If you knew a large object was starting to roll down a hill, do you try to stop it at the top, or wait until it has gained a lot of momentum?

If you knew your boat had a small leak in it, would you try to fix it now, or wait until the boat was half-full of water and about to sink?

We know that pollution and burning fossil fuels are affecting the environment. We may not know how much damage it's going to cause in the long run. But it's always going to be easier and cheaper to stop it earlier, rather than waiting until the last minute.

wow, what a thought--you ask if it's true that we deal with it when problems arise and that it's a waste of time to discuss it. how confusing. global warming is real and will only get worse. talk is the first step but so much more must be done. if we put our heads in the sand, we will get kicked in the butt, just like what happened to social security.

Because problems are already arising that we are not dealing with, and because once the icecaps melt it will be too late to deal with it. They will have already melted and the 40 foot rise in sea level will have already happened. Plus Global warming is a worldwide catastrophy, not just a US regional one.

Ummm because burying our heads in the sand won't make it go away?

We can kill two birds with one stone:
The US should apply our genius towards renewable, non-polluting energy to:
1. Reduce pollution giving our kids a chance at life.
2. Tell the mid East where they can stick their oil so that we no longer have to engage them in this sick dance for power.

Global warming is not going to stop, it's always going to be an issue unless people do something about it

So why are you discussing it? Move on little doggy!! We all will die of something, don't let it be stress about something you don't give a d@mn about. Go worry about the number of Bibles in Hotels instead or whatever you thumpers do.

Global warming will always be an issue because we refuse to take care of this planet...

I agree totally. We should wait until we lose some states to the rising sea level due to melting polar ice caps. Then we should talk about it.

Its good to be prepared.
Better to be safe than sorry.
If we don't deal with it the Earth will drown, many landscapes will be underwater, alot of death and destruction basically. Ever see the day after tomorrow?
