all of the above answers are excellent. May I suggest in the future that you add your powdered detergent to the water first and let it disolve before adding your garments? You won't get any more residue....

if you are usin tablets like persil tablets in the net
DONT USE ECONOMY WASH
they just dont dissolve enough
put em on again with detergent and not economy n ya should be allrite!

YOU PROBABLY HAVE ACID WATER.....DISSOLVE A HALF BOX OF BAKING SODA IN THE WAHER TUB OF VERY HOT WATER...ADD OXICLEAN AND LET THEM SOAK FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS....THEN PUT IN THE DETERGENT AND LET IT GO THROUGH THE CYCLE DOUBLE RINSE WITH A LIQUID SOFTENER.....IT SHOULD TAKE THIS STUFF OUT...

Did you overload the machine? If so try splitting it in to two washes and try the rinse programme!

Try washing them in warm water only, no soap added and see if that helps.

I don't know the answer to this......but if you don't want it to happen again, I suggest you use liquid detergent instead of powder.
