i once had a snack (consists of some pieces of fishcake and other stuff) in taiwan and there was this squarish, deep maroon colour piece which i do not know what it was. but i ate it (beats me why, i am not an adventurous person when it comes to food).
a few years later (ya you read right), a friend told me that was a solidified pig's blood.
