I'll be graduating with BS in Business Administration in Dec. I've focused on Management and really like marketing too. My issue is that i don't have on the job experience. What should I be looking for?

I would start by researching possible employers in the variety of fields you like.

Make sure the companies stand for what you want to do in life- like don't go work for a company that reportedly tests products on animals if that's against your ethics.

Show an interest in internships and always be willing to learn hands on. Try to demonstrate in interviews that you can apply what you learned in management can be applied at that particular place.

Make sure you think about whether or not you'll seriously like doing what you apply for. My mother loves working for a non-profit medical school because she knows that within her organization people are being cared for well.

Above all be optimistic and assertive with your ideas. Don't get discouraged if you're not immediately snapped up. But start looking now (in your spare time) for openings.Try a temp agency, like ManPower, to get your foot in the door of a business. Best of luck and congrats on the degree!

If you worked at all during college that alone will help. Just start applying where you want to work. Try Monster.com too.
You have the degree, just put on the business face as my son calls it. He has been all over the country since graduation from FSU and hasn't had any problem getting a job. Fix yourself up: do your hair, shorten your nails, put on a professional face and clothes ,you will have no problems getting a job. And if someone says NO, just keep going and smiling.
Best of luck to you.

Look in the classifieds or online and search for job openings in your field. Preferably you want to find somewhere you want to work and apply for a job there even if it's just a clerical office position... At least it gets you in the door. From there, show them your resume and if you get interviewed tell them your educational background and who knows, they may have an opening in management or marketing. If not, at least you have a place to work and gain office experience while you look for somewhere that has what you want. You may even be promoted where you are at in the process.

it's gonna be tough...companies in ur field like experience and with limited experience, u'll just have to apply to a lot of companies. apply to companies u would like to work for...have good potential for promotions and provide u with the experience. consider just picking these companies, ask their human resources dept what openings r available...find out what r the requirements for the job, and apply to the ones that suit u and u have a good chance of getting. focus on getting jobs that give u the best experiences...do not worry about how little it pays. so if u had to choose, at least for now always go with the job that offers u the most experience.

The obvious answer is one that you love; however, that job may not be available, so I ask "What color is your parachute?"

The real issue is which jobs are available and can you get one. "What color is your parachute?" is a book that helps you with everything you need.

As for job experience, look for internships in your major. When the internship is finish, you might be offered a job with that company.

Good luck.
