i shot my dad in the butt when he was teaching me how to aim. he had a paper plate nailed to our shed when i was about 8 and he told me to look down the top of the barrel to aim and shoot. well, being 8, i looked at the top of the barrel instead of down the barrel through the eye sight and he said "are you looking? can you see the target?" and of course i said yes just to make him happy, when all i was looking at was the top of the gun and he said "pull the trigger when your ready" so i did and shot him on his upper back thigh. he was so mad. haha. but he shouldn't have had his back turned to me talking to me like i was an adult. never give a kid a bb gun and turn your back. play it safe if you dont want a large bruise :).

Well, I think bb guns are better suited to maybe 6 yr olds, personally. A ten yr old should be getting his first 22. Been shot with bb guns a few times. never pleasant, but I lived.

A Christmas Story!! You'll shoot your eye out!! I wouldn't want a 10 year old to have unsupervised access to a BB gun...depends on how he is raised whether it is appropriate to have one at all...my son hunts with his dad so he got one around 10 but was never allowed to use it unless dad was with him for target practice...now he has his own shotgun and is a good shot but still never has it without his father with him. I don't like it at all but it's a man thing I guess

When I was younger I had a muscle bound cousin that used to torture me so one day I got a bb gun and kept shooting him in the A## their okay with me after he picked the bb's out his butt he stop picking with me

Well its not that bad but I got shot in the legs and they left some real bad welts and bruises on me. For a 10 year old only when an adult is around other than that no.

i shot big foot 3 times this year with a BB gun for trying to eat my cat's food and if he comes back i'm gonna use my savage 300 magum on him.
guns are not toys.
