You are being an idealist. But don't stop.
We need more people willing to explore different perspectives, exchange ideas and viewpoints, and work towards a greater understanding of the issues.
It doesn't matter who you agree with or what you believe. What matters is that you enter the arena with respect for others, and a willingness to contribute to the process of learning.

If you are an Idealist you are not alone. I try to ask things that I am interested in and try and be clear in what I'm asking. I try to keep my particular point of view out of it because I want to get answers from both sides of an issue. I also like to give well thought answers to questions, not just empty rhetoric. However I if I am answering a question such as "who agrees that the _______party sucks?" I'll just answer with "thanks for the two points".

they're questions, and the point of asking is to make certain if the contestants are prepared to respond to something given them. on the different hand, that's a competition, and political questions extremely haven't any business organization alongside a suit competition. In gentle of the concern, i don't believe of Perez Hilton should be allowed at pageants, or contained in the overall public. His question became of direction biased, and no remember what the answer became or ought to were, it ought to have led to outrage both way.

Good question! Those people are just stating their own political beliefs in the form of a question... and usually looking for an argument.

Sadly, most of those type of people don't even know why they are getting the pats on the back and being told how right they are... they just hear the buzz words on NBC News or FOX News and parrot what they heard so they can sound like they are knowledgable and intelligent... which is why they get so upset when you start picking at them, since they really don't know what they are talking about.
