Are you currently involved in a church? They have many programs to help those in need. Or a local shelter. Honestly though the church would probably be better, and don't stop at one just because of an unhelpful attitude. Some are better than others. I don't no where you are, but the First Christian Church of Elizabethton, Tn. (on Hattie St.), could be of help to you.

Go online to the Family Violence Prevention Fund (endabuse.org) and click on "Getting Help" at the bottom of the page. This will help you locate a shelter in your area. You can also call (800) 799-SAFE to find out how to contact a family violence program in your area.
God bless you!

why do you need a secure place? more info is needed to help answer your question. First thing I would suggest is calling a helpline in your city where you live to get info. A good choice would be your local tanf (welfare or food stamp) office. and ask them phone numbers to get you started and then you should be able to get directed to where you need to call or go to talk to people: whatever you situation may be. also a call to any local hospital should also be to provide you with local numbers to help you get started on your search for help and a home. search the internet also for you city and state social service help. just type in "you city and state, social service help". hope this helps

Go to an apartment complex in your nearest town and speak with the people in the office. Alot of times, these are income based and if not or if they dont have any available, ask them for advice. They should be able to at least point you in the right direction of who to talk to.

Well if you don't have any family or friends house you can go to until you get yourself together then you really need to check out what type of programs your city offers for young mothers in need of assistance. I know living in DC they have something for young mothers that need a place to stay because of their situation and it is given to them right away! You need to get online find out how your city can help you! But usually it will be some type of Welfare. Its lots of programs out here designed for young mothers to help them in all areas of their life so they can get on track.
Good Luck to you!

If you are not in a safe situation you can call your local police dept (you dont have to give your name) and ask them for the address and phone numbers of womens shelters in your area.
Good luck.

If you know of a shelter, go there. If you have family such as a mother or father call them and tell them your predicament.
I wish you luck!!
