One that focuses on unacceptable hateful and bigoted behavior (instead of fear which phobia implies).

Would there be a political and social benefit by being clearer about the real problem? If so, what word would you like?

To be honest with you there is too much talking that goes into alot of issues. At the risk of sounding cliched 'actions speak louder than words.' So you can bandy around as many 'isms' as you like but it won't change anything. What will is people being able to learn and change from others in a beneficial way. Stopping and thinking about the potential harm your actions might cause to other people. So the short of it is, you can make more words upon words, but it's all rather pointless if you're not willing to do anything on a personal level about issues that affect you.

well, as it all stems from fear and most people tend to believe that there is some truth and legitimacy to stereotypes and the prejudices they foster while fears are something to be soothed and conquered it seems more beneficial to stay with pointing out that the real behavior problems come from irrational anxieties and insecurities
