Name it after the breed, so when you get hundreds of chickens you can remember thier names..
EG:
Welsummer, call it Sunny
Buff Sussex, call it Buffy,
Rhone island Red, call it Rhoda
Lavender Aracarda, call it Lavender
Cream leg-Barr, call it BaBa
