With talents from the young guys (Wellwood, Stajan, Steen, etc.) and new talents joining the team, are the Leafs going to have a succesfull season in 06-07? Perhaps the Cup even?

The Leafs have changed over the summer. The Youngsters have grown to know the game professionaly and are now better. they have a great new goalie and two amazing back-up goalies now. Them signing Peca was a grat idea and will bring wonders to the team. The new coach won't help them, they should have kept Pat Quinn and yes i do think they will get over 100 points and the cup.

Leafs will have a good season, but I don't think it will be a 100 point season. Probably low 90s, but they are on the rise and will make the playoffs. They have a great defence, and are actually much better up front then last year. Steen has the most potential the start breaking out. As for all you know it alls who think Raycroft will tank, what are you basing that on? He had one good year and one bad... in fact every Bruin had a bad year last year. Lets give him a chance before writing him off.

Good Question

Don't forget Peca. The Cup? The closest they'll get is around the block to the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Love them Leafs, but c'mon!

The finally did what had to happen....they got rid of a bunch of their old guys and brought in some younger talent! I sense the Leafs will do very well this year!

Not the cup, but they will have a better team than last year. With Lindros gone, Belfour gone, Nolan (not like he was any good) gone, Domi gone ( although I'll miss him), plus the additions of Kubina and Reycroft, I am optimistic (as I am every freakin year)...I still think Ferguson has to go though.

I think they will be an imporvement over last years team, how ever 100 pts??? That would be amiracle if i ever saw one, theyll make it to the palyoffs, but how far they go is a complte mystery. It really depends on Raycroft, and if gets back to Calder Form.

The best thing about Leafs fans is that every year, no matter how bad their team is, they still ALWAYS think they're going to win the Cup. Hilarious.

wow burn 1 for me I'm hoping they make the playoffs in 6,7,8, position the young guys gotta step up but it's more up to the core of veterans to take the team anywhere. I find the goal tending kind of suspect but if that Raycroft guy can do what he did in his rookie year we might even win a round in the playoffs
