The Arabs are resisting western influence, and on our side it truly is a conflict surrounding future oil supply. Many in the know in Washington DC, although not in power, are convinced that due to the nature of ever growing insurgencies, in the end the conflict cannot be won by the west, and America will suffer in more ways than one. The failed policy and lack of any sort of reasonable diplomacy on the part of the Bushites is moving the Arabs forward in their own determination, and America backwards.
We need to remove the current leaders in the white house as quickly as possible in the near term, and certainly in the long term interest of America, and get some leaders into the white house that understand what the problem is, and approach it with foresight and reasoned, valid planning. The coalition of neo-conservative corporatists and right wing evangelical American jihadists who lust to occupy the holy places they have never owned, are failing our national interests, not to mention our security. The grass roots that is now waking up in the nightmare needs to shift into a higher gear to speed up the removal of the current leaders that are failing America dramatically now. We need to get out of Iraq sooner than later. The middle east balance of power is now shifting against American interests.

Things APPEAR to be worse, but then appearances can be deceiving. In reality, no, I don't believe things are worse.
Let's put it this way: if you had an infestation of roaches in your house and they had been muliplying for years, but you couldn't see them because they were hiding in various cracks and crevises. Then one day you banged on all of the walls of your house with a broom and suddenly cock roaches start running everywhere.
Of course, it would appear that your house is worse off than before, because you can now SEE the roaches, but in reality they were there all along.
....and please try to remember that 9-11 happened BEFORE the war in Iraq--so did the FIRST WTC bombing, the bombing of the Cobar Towers and others.
The terrorists have been there festering for decades.

Yes. Because Bush and his supporters are dumb. Going in Iraq for assumtions of WOMD when there wasnt any, and going in anyway, taking out there leader and forcing a democracy. And we dont even know why we are still there!! Gas has been high, and our economy is drastically falling and we will not be the best country in the world ofr much longer if this keeps up and prez bush is still in office.

yup, but going to war in Iraq, we made Iran stronger by eliminating it. We have created a civil war (100 people die a day) at least there was stability when Saddam was in power. Oil prices are up. We are trillions in debt . . . so yeah, it's bad.

More terrorists than ever. More American dead and wounded. More wasted taxpayer $$$. American standing in the world is at it's lowest point ever. The armed forces can't recruit without dropping standards and handing out money. That enough? Or you think we should stay another 3 or 4 years in this paradise where we'd be greeted with candy and flowers?

Of course. The U.S. invading Iraq has only escalated violence, both in Iraq and worldwide. It has placed the U.S. in a bad light among our former allies.
