Ask her friends or close family members. A woman will tell her friends exactly what she wants but expects her man to KNOW what she wants & needs. Well, some women still do.
Don't drop hints hoping she'll slip up & tell you. That'll never happen. Good luck!

Last year he took 3 pieces of jewelry I never wear from my jewelry box and had them repaired without my knowledge. He took my grandmothers wedding ring and had the band fixed, had a setting replaced in another ring that was missing a stone, and had the clasp fixed on a bracelet he had bought me the first year we were married. It wasn't a terribly expensive gift - but I guarantee you I cried! It really is the thought that counts. Tune in to little hints your wife gives or ask her questions. I didn't even catch on until later that one day he had asked me why I never wore all my rings anymore.
It is all about listening - not how much money you spend.

the best gift he has ever given me is our son... but if you are talking about for anniversaries or christmas or birthdays... the best gift i have ever gotten was.. he surprised me with the sweetest little handmade card (one from him and one from my son), he took me out to olive garden for dinner, we went and windowshopped, and then bought some fish for my fishtank, nothing huge, nothing expensive, just quality time together with my husband and son. That was the very best. I have had birthdays and anniversaries that consisted of big lavish japanese dinners with the whole family he bought me lots of expensive jewerly, i have had anniversaries where he took me on a cruise, we rented expensive hotels ect... but the one that sticks out the most is the one that consists of family time. Thats all I really need.

His time and undivided attention, even for just an hour. We have kids and my husband is one of those busy types of who seems to always have something to do that doesn't include me. So for me, his undivided attention would be absolutely devine. Make her dinner and dessert or give her a bath and a massage afterwards, just dote on her and spoil her a little bit, especially if you've got kids and she's been feeling neglected or taken for granted recently. IOW, show her that she's special to you.

Assuming that you don't mean children, my husband had my wedding band sent back to new york to have diamonds added to it for our first anniversary. The thing that made it special is he kept it a big secret and put some good thought into it and then surprised me on our anniversary!

A vacation day! When she gets to relax and do anything she wants while you cook, clean and take care of the kids. A man helping with housework is very sexy!
