I had two. One wasn't actually a pet but close enough. He was my stallion Eagle Dare. He was an amazingly sensitive creature. He knew when I was sad or happy. If I cried, he would simply nuzzle me with his whiskery upper lip, rubbing the side of my neck or cheeks. Sometimes he would just hang his head on my shoulder, dozing off, getting heavier and heavier, where I would have to awaken him, as I couldn't hold his head any longer.....
The other was my German shepherd Hasso, he was the sweetest cutest pup I had. Big and clumsy with huge paws. He was so smart it was frightening. A look a word would do. He always knew. He grew up with my kids and we would chase each other around every day, playing tag or just throwing the ball. He was the biggest goof around. Wouldn't hurt a fly, yet I knew he would be there to protect if called for. People would drive into our yard and they were greeted by Hasso peering in their window. He was so big he could just stand there looking in. They never left the car till I came....
I had many pets over the years, but those two stand out in my memory and I miss them terribly.

My dog is my life I don't really have a fondest momery, I would have to say that everyday is the fondest of all. I love my dog sooo much if she were to get lost, stolen or pass away I would just die on the inside.. In everything I do and everywhere I go My dog is with me... She is my shoulder to cry on. My forever friend. My inspiration to keep on going after my divorce, and all the abuse during my marriage. She is what keeps me living each day cause I know I have something to live for and to care for.. She is my baby my only child. I wouldn't trade her for anything in this world not even a million dollars. My dog is my securtiy my loyal companion. I truly think she was sent to me from God cause she is what keeps me going each day!!!! No Love from any human could ever replace her love and friendship she gives me... I LOVE her with everything I got!!

My fondest memory is of my childhood dog Julius (still alive, thank God) coming along with me when my mom dragged me out of the house. He knew I was in a bad way and he wasn't about to let me be out there all by myself. He just sat there on the porch with me while I cried. He possesses an innate sense as to human suffering, my baby. Always has.

I had a ferret and he was awesome. When I bought him he was the tiniest thing with the biggest paws.almost White with black eyes.
I had another ferret,a Sable at the time and to introduce them slowly we put BearBear, the baby, in a pet carrier and put him next to the cage where Slinky, the older ferret, was.
In the middle of the night I woke up to the weirdest sounds...thinking , what the hell is that?Sounded like a Kazoo...went downstairs and BearBear was crying.I never heard a ferret make noises like that.It went on for a week and I said , hell with that ,the boy goes in the cage with Slinky,if they tear each other apart,I don't care.....remind you , I was sleep deprived....put him in the cage and Boom...he never made another sound again. They both got along great...I miss them....they passed away,1 year from each other, both were about 6 years old.
Amazing animals.
I have tons of stories about those two.

My fondest memory was of a cat that i litterally grew up with. I was born in july and my dad got the cat for my mom on her birthday in November. The cat was all black with one little white spot on his chest. He was the best cat ever. He died when i was in 5th grade. He was my best friend. When ever i was sad or crying he would cuddle up with me and lick my tears away. He would sleep with me every night. I would fall asleep with him and in the morning, i would wake up to him right there. I know he would get up during the night to eat or drink some water or just lay some where else, but he would make sure that he was there when i opened my eyes. He would cheer me up when i was down, he would always play with me, he loved me as much as i loved him. I miss him so so so much. Its kind of ironic because the cats name was Joey and now the guy i am dating and planning on marrying is named Joey. I think it was more than just a coinsidence. I loved that cat so much. I cried every night for a week when he died. And its not easy to say, but i am crying now just thinking of him. Animals are truly amazing creatures.

I remember when I was fifteen going to pick out a dog at the house of a girl I went to school with. The house was out in the country and it was dark outside. I didn't know how many puppies that the mother dog had until the girl's mother opened up the dog pen. I had fifteen the black puppies running at me at once. LOL, it still brings a smile to my face when I think about it.

Our family has had many dogs, I have loved them all so much. After the Hurricane here, I went back to Canada. I got to spend time with Sam before he died. He was such a sweet dog. I am going back home soon for a visit. We have a 15 year old dog, and I want to be with her. I am so scared about her going, I don't live in Canada anymore.

I LOVE PETS!!! I had a wonderful bird for 8 yrs and loved him madly. Birds are amazing creatures and have quite their own little personalities. Jacob (my bird) was out of the cage when I was home. He would sit in the window or on my shoulder or on top of his cage. He was friendly, loved to get his head scratched and adored people. Unfortunately he fell behind a piece of furniture and although I got him out and rushed him to the vet, he passed away the next day. I will ALWAYS have a special place in my heart for Jacob... he was awesome!!!

Thank you for asking. My fondest memory is of finding an Australian Shepherd who was cowering in my shed during a thunderstorm. He was pitiful..full of ticks, terrified, fleas, you name it. I took him in and healed him, named him Shane and he became the most faithful pet I have ever owned. I lost Shane several years ago but have never forgotten him.
