I feel for you because I am so there, yes it is possible I did go to the doctor last year once and was told you can be in this stage for up to ten years, I don't start for 2 or 3 months, and sometimes within weeks.Last Jan. I thought I was pregnant. If I could afford it I don't feel I would medicate with HRT. but let nature take its place, and from a person who has fought a weight gain, losing weight or gaining throws this off also, sugar free products cause gas, you might want to rethink this, and no brown bread is denying your body fiber it needs healthy digestion, I would suggest you go on a low fat high fiber diet see if that helps, I love the real age site, and if nothing else it will occupied you from stress, the walking is great, I need pushed to start back up again, I used to and it helped a lot. I really hope this helps this is advice I have been using for 4 years now,.

This is hard to say because you are still a bit young for this to be happening. Not impossible, just not so common.
Do you know when your mother went through 'the change'? Some women tend to follow patterns in their family.
It sounds like you are trying to stay healthy, which is more than a lot of people do. You may have more than just one thing going on. You have described the bloating which could be a sign of IBS, irritable bowel syndrome. Also, artificial sweeteners have a history of causing side effects with lots of people, you may even be having a problem with them.
I understand about not having insurance, I'm in the same boat. I know there are community clinics that base their fees on your income level, you may need to just go ahead and see if you can find one. Also, women's clinics usually have reduced rates. If this problem continues I would not put off seeing a doctor, you could be in the beginning stages of a much more serious problem. If you haven't had a pap smear done in a while, I would at least call around and see if you can find someone to do it cheap enough that you can afford it.
Good luck with your problems, I wish you well.

I know what your going through, I have no INS either and I'm 57, pretty scary huh? Yes your going through your change, I was 42 , My Mom was 42.......It's is awful, But we live through it......I go to a clinic and they have put me on a slide program where i get all my meds for $5.00 each for 3 months worth, I don't know where you live but every state has these programs, Please check it out, You will probaly need some estragen for awhile, I have been taking it for years and it helps so much, Remember, there are programs out there for us that can't afford INS, I tried to get some medicade, But I don't have little kids anymore at home so no deal there...That sucks too...You work all your life and get NO help in the end when you need it.......Just check around and even call your local Hospital, They can tell you where you can get help.....Good Luck, You don't need to suffer like that.....

that sucks, that u can't afford to go to the doctor. but i think you really need to. maybe ask your family if they can help you out with the money, then in the future if you can get insurance. at your age it really is a good idea.
