I don't know the technological difference but i do believe that cloning humans is just wrong...too many evil power hungry people in the world who could use them in the wrong way. Although in the movie "The Island" they used clones for spare body parts in case the real person got sick. The problem was that the clones were real people too with real feelings. Too Dangerous.

there isn't anything different about them. scientists simply think that it is because human life is "more imporant" and that "we are the most intelligent life forms on earth". which is so not true. if we were, we would have a cure for cancer. scientists are just stupid. they aren't scared of killing a sheep or a dog, because no one will sue, but if they kill a person when trying to clone, and it doesn't work, they could lose money, and such. oh no! <-- sorry, people like that make me angry.

Sheeps and dogs are worth more... humans are a dime a dozen
plus sheep and dogs can be trained for useful purposes without biting the hand which clones...

If you clone a rabbit and it turns out with four eyes and half a brain, you just kill it. If you clone a human and he turns out with four eyes and half a brain, somebody has to pay to take care of him for life.

It is not different, "medically".
The process is exactly the same. The success/failure rate would even be the same.
It is different "legally": it is forbidden.
It is different "ethically".
Could you imagine what the world would be if we had hundreds of G.W.Bush clones?
I would commit suicide right now.

It would be like identity theft. Sadly, most humans have always been selfish and thus put themselves before animals. They don't consider the animals to have their own identities.
