I mean they keep raising the price and raising it, and we keep paying and still see hummers and rv's on the road like they don't have a care in the world about these prices. What can americans do to stop the rising prices?

You can't do anything about the rising cost of gasoline, except to quit using it. It's a supply and demand issue--if you reduce the demand, the price will fall. It is long overdue that we invest in alternative fuel vehicles, and elliminate our dependence on oil. Of course, you could try to tackle OPEC and the corrupt governments and coporations that have a monopoly on the world's supply, but the chances of that happening are so slim you'd be wasting your time.

Hey hey! enough of the suv bashing! What about the luxury cars and sports cars that use just as much, if not more, gas than an SUV? and as for accepting the gas prices...stop whining. if you want something to complain about, try Hong Kong. Gas there is more than five dollars a gallon. If you've got such a big problem with the gas prices, walk or bike.

They will continue to pay them until the price per gallon goes over 10 a gallon or they just don't have enough money to pay. Then rich people will still pay it. We need a sensible replacement for oil in the world like ethanol or hydrogen.

You know that's beginning to upset me as well. But, what do you want to do about it. Do you want to stop using your vehicle? For some of us that is not an option. Do you want to use public transportation? People that own Hummers are probably independently wealthy (NOT) or they're using a credit card to purchase gas.

Accept these gas prices? And what are you/can you do about it? No matter how much people whine about these prices, you either gas up or you don't. Governments are not responsible for this...simple economics are responsible.

It's a free market. So to speak. So they can get real poor. When they get poor enough, they'll stop buying gas.
