If you are going to be in Manila for two weeks, try going to the American Memorial at Fort Bonifacio. You get to see the global city that is growing so fast together with schools for foreigners, viz, International School, the Japanese School, and the British School.

Of course, you can move around Intramuros in Manila: If you start at about 8 in the morning, you can see Fort Santiago, the Manila Cathedral, The San Agustin Church which has a museum, and across is Casa Manila which shows you a typical house in Intramuros then. You should've seen enough by lunch: go to Illustrados where you can have a nice lunch... in that building they have a store that sells souvenir items. If you like to bar hop, proceed to Ermita, notably MH del Pilar and Mabini streets...

Of course, a trip to corregidor is also possible, takes you one day.

Have a nice time

For a weekend, crash course Phil. 101 history is a walk through viewing the dioramas at the stylish Ayala Museum in Makati. WW2 is best commemorated by taking a one day ferry boat to Corregidor Island via Cultural Center of the Phils. (CCP) side dock. Cap it with an art walk through CCP halls & modern art at the Museum beside Central Bank, or the National Museum near Rizal Park. The hispanic fort & walled city is brick-stone path at Intramuros, where good souvenir items can be explored. Take a calesa back to the breakwaters & enjoy an early dinner by the Bay,cafes & bands across Remedios Circle. To experience the mall culture & the love of Filipinos for family & food, disneylike crowd at Asia Mall by the bay, Greenbelt (cosmopolitan), or Ortigas. For fishing, head off for for Subic Base, Puerto MIndoro, or Caliraya Lake, Laguna, depends on the weather & allotted time travel. For a hilltop view of the metropolis, Antipolo cafes have the best panorama. While Tagaytay will let you see a small volcano from afar unless you take a boat to the island & a horseup the trek near the crater. For multi-adventure, the Pinatubo crater gives you the outdoor thrill. Weather & domestic flights skeds permit, Palawan for underground caves, Bohol, Cebu & Boracay, Samal in Davao for beaches, esp for the laptop-driven work-anywhere lifestyle.

Angeles - culinary hotbed, cheap food, nightlife
Baguio - the country's summer capital, vegetable gardens
Bacolod - the city of smiles, land of sweettooths
Cagayan de Oro - the city of golden friendship and eco-tourism
Iloilo - city of mestizos, good food, old churches
Legaspi - gateway to Mt. Mayon, rural setting
Puerto Princesa - cleanest and greenest city
Roxas City - seafood capital, cheap food

Tagaytay - picnic getaway, temperate climate near Manila
Vigan - historic spanish town, UNESCO World Heritage Site
Zamboanga - little Spain, pink sand beaches
Makati city - the financial center of the Philippines

Manila -- National capital. The Metropolitan Manila area includes several cities and municipalities to form one administrative body governed jointly by the local governments and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).
Cebu -- Also known as the Queen City of the South, Cebu is the first established indigenous settlement discovered by the west in the Philippines. For a short time before the re-dedication of Manila, Cebu City served as the capital of the far eastern territory claimed by Spain
Davao -- The largest city in the world in terms of land area. Relatively young when compared with Manila or Cebu, it has grown to become the economic and commercial hub of the southern island of Mindanao. Nearby you'll find the country's tallest mountain (Mount Apo), the endangered Philippine Eagle, and one of priciest orchids in the world (Waling-waling).

Others have answered your questions. But I would really recommend Cebu... It will only take 30 minutes for you to go to a relaxing beach in Mactan or a hilltop in Busay from the downtown area of Cebu City. Magnificent places are also located in the island like Malapascua and Bantayan Island... and beaches in Badian and Moalboal.

Boracay Beaches, Bataan (Death march to Clark), Cebu, Rice Terraces, Subic Bay (Zoo and Marine life). We are in the rainy season now and it has been terrible for 2 months now so the beaches, while have great deals in off season, may not be the best choice.

u have good answers here mate...

now my suggestion and tips:

1. don't look so fussy...be ordinary. anyways, the weather is good for casual dressing.
2. no jewelries, cell phones, bulky wallets (not only applicable in manila...even in london, ny, brazil..if ur going there)

trips...around city

if your going for business finish them all first. don't drive on ur own unless ur mr bond or mr gibson...choose a taxi from the hotel or ask the desk to call u one. if your flagging one, choose the one with big brands like avis, emp, or any sorts that u see more everywhere.

trips...sights

ww2...fort bonifacio, fort santiago, mactan....
beaches/diving...boracay, palawan, cebu, ilocandia, purto galera
lakes/mountain/springs... Laguna and pinatubo, bicol and caliraya

now...i don't think two weeks would be enough for that. and it will cost to fly and roll around.

concentrate on what you want see and go.

good luck...enjoy!

in case you have funds to burn on your honeymoon, amanpulo is your trip spot yet once you could no longer spare an arm and a leg on your honeymoon, i might recommend which you seek for a first rate commute enterprise and ask them in the event that they might provide you a sturdy deal in bohol. Panglao Island to be precise. it somewhat is astonishing there and, i think of my spouse and that i spend around 50k for the full deal, which incorporates airfare, motel lodging (Panglao Island Nature motel - it somewhat is the main costly place there on the time), the excursion of bohol, nutrition and candies for the folk back residing house. investigate the weblink that I easily have published under, yet I assure this to you, those photos on that internet site does not do the region any justice. Oh, and suitable needs to you and your bride.

I would say Palawan and Boracay, but you need more than two days to visit the place.
