Morphine safer than weed? Not by a long shot. Morphine is an opium derivative similar to heroin. Must be another one of the governments propaganda projects spreading that type of false info around just like they tried to do way back when the original Reefer Madness movie was released to the public

Morphine is not safer than marijuana. I presume that your question stems from the fact that morphine is approved for medical usage and marijuana is not. Morphine is a much more powerful painkiller than marijuana (or THC) ever can be, hence it is used under carefully supervised circumstances to kill extreme pain. The doctors are aware of the addictive properties of the drug and hence it is carefully controlled. All morphine is, is a synthetic form of heroin.

duh people he is not actually saying that it is safer....his point is why o n earth is morphine legal and weed not...by making morphine legal the govt is saying its effects are less harmful that marijuana when that is completely untrue
weed is WAY too hard for the govt to control. you can grow weed in your basement ... morphine on the other hand while accessible to those without an Rx it is probably harder to come by whereas i can call the weed man and he will knock on my door 10 minutes later.
yes morphine along with MOST painkillers are addictive. they are not meant for those not in excruciating pain and even though who really need something that strong can become addicted to it ...there has been 1 person EVER that died directly as a result of weed and he smoked like 4 lbs in 24 hours. i am sure there have been 1000's that died from od'ing on morphine

Yes, it is very addictive. Morphine is not in the same league as marijuana. The two are administered and affect people in very different ways. It would be hard to consider one "safer" than the other. It's like asking how baseball bats are safer than guns.

Well, considering Heroin, Opium, Morphine, and Fentanyl are all variations of the same chemical, I would say the federal government is not the greatest at classifying drugs. The way they do it has a lot more to do with the portion of society they want supressed, and not the actual dangerousness of the drug. Cocaine is the party drug of choice for Wall Street - thus it is obviously better than Marijuana, which is the party drug of crazy hippy tree hugging homosexuals.

No one says that morphine is "safer", but it is very useful to people in severe pain. Marijuana may have positive health benefits as well, but it could never match the pain killing effects of morphine.

Yes, and just one dose will make your skin itch and burn like it's on fire when the morphine wears off. It's not safer. You can overdose on morphine as well. Have you ever heard of anybody overdosing on marijuana?

Yes, morphine, as are all all opiate analgesics, have a potential to be addictive. What is more, morphine in certain quantities can suppress the respiratory centers in the brainstem and kill you.
It most certainly is a dangerous drug.

morphine is not addictive if only used a few times, it also is safe to use in a small dose if you are pregnant and you are allergic to everything else, even in a small single dose marijuana is not safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women or their babies, morphine is also more effective at pain relief, marijuana is about as good as caffiene for killing pain
