It's an 84 chevy caprice rebuilt engine and trans. I live in Texas and it is essential that I have air conditioning. Thanks! I'm using 134A refrigerant!

Compressors take about 3 ounces. If you have no gages ad one and a half Pound of freon I think it is six cans,and put a thermometer and keep adding until the temp. won't lower anymore, put only one ounce of oil in compressor,most of the oil stays in the System

Have a A/C tech work on this.It could cost you a lot of money if done wrong.....let alone the poss of an explosion while doing it yourself

the ac in your car can only be serviced by an ac dealer as you need the specialised equipment to do this job
