I agree, don't ask the question if you aren't prepared to get an answer and that includes answers that you don't want to hear.

I joined the Yahoo! Answers as there was a line from Yahoo saying “Answer and make someone's day” which touched me deep within. So many people around the world have medical or health problems and do not know what to do about them. Based on 23 years of clinical experience as a doctor, I thought of sharing my experiences and advice, to the best of my ability, with a view to make someone’s day. I have a fair assessment of my own capabilities and recently this has also been re-affirmed by none else but the Marquis, the publishers of biographies from the USA, who have listed my name in their directory of Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare.

Yahoo’s intentions seem genuine, as it provides a platform for people to seek answers while retaining their privacy. Although I am a very busy person but then I considered helping others as much as I can with my experience. I have already shared my thoughts on 177 problems. I too feel deeply hurt at the way the ratings are done, and at some of the questions, which should have been avoided in the first place. Do we require ratings at all? Probably the Yahoo team may like to have a fresh look at these problems if it wants to stimulate more people into making someone’s day and to retain those who are already there for this purpose of their own accord and with no ulterior motives.

you are right i only give low ratings if it doesn't answer the question or if they haven't read the question properly eg. i say i could be up to 4 months pregnant- and they say the baby couldn't be any bigger than a pinhead!
however, i was under the impression that there were home remedies for inducing labour: spicy food, long walks, etc. which are of no harm to mother or baby...

Not only that - but we give low ratings for people who abuse Yahoo Answers.

Such as you.
