though apa in the late 70s declared it as not dsm, i still regard it as a sexual perversion. Freud, ford, beach regarded it as perversion. according to Freud, people who can not overcome Oedipus complex and Electra complex in their latter life become homo sexual.ford and beach found that due to traumatic experiences in the child hood or if the children seduced by adult homo in their latter life become homo sexual.it two homos marry to some extent, it is OK. other wise, if the homosexual urge of an adult is not satiated, he would seduce children who are vulnerable. the problem with the homos is they think they are normal and leading pleasurable sex life. they do not go to therapists. if a man suppress the homosexuality, it will lead to paranoia said Freud. prevention is the only key to this problem. if society were not cruel to wards homos they would not seduce children other wise those children seduced by homos become in their latter life as hardcore homos.at the cost of repetition, i reiterate that homosexuality is a sexual perversion and against nature .

Are MODERN psychologists classifying homosexuality as a normal sexual orientation?

Uh yeah, since the early 70's. It's been more than 30 years... catch up.

If you ask "is homosexuality a sexual perversion", I answer:

Nope. Not according to virtually the entire psychological, sociological and medical community. Not to the credible authorities. Not to those people and organizations and institutions that actually know what they're talking about.

It's not a disease, disorder, derangement, dysfunction, maladjustment, sickness, illness, confusion, phase, perversion or paraphilia.

If you ask the Catholic church if it's a sickness, they'll probably tell you "yes"... of course, they're about as qualified to make that kind of statement as a concert pianist who tries to tell you what's mechanically wrong with your car.

The DSM-4R-t no longer lists homosexuality as a sexual/mental disorder.

I do not believe that it is normal behavior for one guy to look at another guys hairy butt and wanna go there! Nor do I think that two women deciding they no longer need their male counterparts because they can do it themselves is the way to go.

We were male and female for the purpose of procreation. Adam and Steve did not propagate the Earth. Nor did Eve and Edna! The basic purpose of our existance is to mate and reproduce to continue the species. Can't do that if we're picking incompatible partners!

It is my personal belief that it is morally wrong; however, I do believe that people do have the freedom to choose to do as they wish. I just wish they would keep it to themselves and in their bedrooms where it belongs! I'd rather not know. I think it's horrible to have to explain to my kid why two men are holding hands and want to get married!

Homosexuality has become so open in the main stream media that so many people have become desensitized just like we have to violence.

I'm sorry, but when your brain is telling you that your perfect mate wears the same undies as you, there is something wrong.

According to The World Health Organization, homosexuality is NOT CONSIDERED AS A MENTAL DISORDER. Although this can provoke some conflicts within individual who is not ready to accept it or feels the pressure form his/her social surrounding, homosexuality itself is not a disorder and does not require treatment. Psychological conflicts may be provoked by any other factor like relationship with mother... anything. But in general, homosexuals are (and should be treated as) normal individuals, able to function in all social situations, to work, have education, have their professions, independently on their sexual orientations.

Yes it is a normal behavior. It was taken off the list of mental illnesses in the late 70's. Get with the times. Even animals partake in homosexual acts. Homosexuality is as old as time.

It is very much indeed a perversion. Which begs the question, is psychology, psychiatry, a legitimate profession?

Because something is in the minority does not necessarily mean that it is a perversion of the norm.

It is no longer considered a mental illness as it was previously. the American Psychological Association (a very left leaning organization) considers it normal alternate lifestyle.

It is a deviation from the norm, as only 3% or so of the population is homosexual. Whether or not it is perverted is your opinion.
