I used pure Vitamin E all over my tummy, hips, and butt area. I did not get stretch marks anywhere around my stomach area. I also switch every other day using Clarins Body Treatment Oil Tonic. It is on this website here: http://www.shopping.com/xFS-treatment_for_stretch_mark~NS-1
Remember that genetics plays a big role in whether you will get stretch marks...also the size of your baby and the amount of weight gain.
In conjunction please take care of yourself, don't over indulge eat right, and walk and there are great pre-natal work out tapes, and swimming is good too.

Cocoa butter is not a guarantee that you will not get stretch marks. All the cocoa butter does is to help reduce the redness. It has mainly to do with the elasticity of your skin and genetics. If your mom got stretchmarks you most likely will. It also has to do with how much weight you gain. I know someone that only gained 26 pounds with her first pregnancy and she had horrible stretch marks and she used cocoa butter every day after learning that she was pregnant.

Apply cocoabutter to your body no less than 2 times a day. Preferably after bathing, in the morning before dressing or at night before bed. Palmer's cocoabutter is great. Do not scratch your stomach at all. Instead rub and apply cocoabutter. That is what worked for me. But I heard that you can't prevent stretch marks but this may alievate some of them. Also continue use after pregnancy and apply an ace bandage around your mid section so that your skin will shrink back correctly for about 4-5 months. Breast feeding helps the stomach to shrink also.

I used Palmer's massage lotion for stretch marks when I was pregnant with my son, and I didn't get any at all. I'm now pregnant with my second child and using the lotion again. I also use Johnson's Softwash body wash in the shower, and that helps. Other body washes for dry skin will work, too.

Stretchmarks are usually inherited from your mother so if she got them its quite likely you will too.
Try to put on weight gradually so your skin doesn't get overstretched rapidly. I suffered from severe psoriasis while pregnant so I had no choice but to apply emulsifying ointment (a harmless emollient which you can buy over the chemist counter as it has no active ingredients). I didn't get stretch marks at all so I did the same with my second pregnancy and it seemed to work that time too as I still have no stretchmarks.

Ask your mom, sisters, aunts if they got stretch marks. They are mostly determined by genetics. I used cocoa butter every day and didn't get any, but the women in my family didn't either so that may be why.

The doctor told me that it depends on your body type, in other words if your going to get them your going to get them no matter what you do. I know that every one says to use coco butter and baby oil and all this, but I lathered myself down with these things and I still got stretch marks, and I got them EVERYWHERE. I hope this helps, also most women's breast sage after child birth, this is due to your breast increasing in size from the extra blood flow and milk formation. When the milk dries up (even if you don't breast feed) and the extra blood flow slows down you are left with saggy boobs, That is just what happens when you have children. GOOD LUCK

You can do the cocoa butter thing but its all just luck. Or rather, simply how your own body reacts. Sometimes, no matter what you do, you can get stretch marks, and badly.

you can try to put lotion all you want on them but it might not work. my sister in law is 6 1/2 months pregnant and shes been using the lotion everyday since she found out...but she started getting them...but i know its becuz you have to keep your skin natually moisturized by drinking lots of water and keeping a healthy diet....also try doing yoga...keeping your body sweating can help to...it stretches out your body when you excercise...i did that and used no lotion and got no stretch marks.
