At the very least once a week if they only live in the cage (cruel if they do only live in that tiny space for years) less often if they have a run or something similar to exercise in frequently.

My rabbits are housetrained to use a litter tray outside the cage, when they are inside, the cage gets cleaned everyday in the area they poop and pee, Rabbits usually use one place unless they are marking which is territorial behaviour.
then the hutch gets disinfected every week and all the hay replaced.
Think about it, would you leave your excrement in your toilet for a week before flushing?
If you cant give them the time to clean up every day which takes 3 mins to pick up the poop then you should not consider having one.
Lots of people leave the hutch and do it once a week, the ammonia from the pee is so damaging to Rabbits lungs!
you know how it makes your eyes water when you clean it, imagine how they feel living it 24 hours a day.
Maybe im just a bit obsessive, but i like to give my animals the best care possible.

Rabbits can be very dirty but some are worse than others.
I clean out my rabbits hutch every 3-4 days. It also depends
on the size of the hutch. If it is smaller, it will get dirty faster.
Also remember that if you let it get too dirty, it can affect
your pets health and it will also attract flies and other bugs.

I have 3 rabbits and i littertrain them. All you need is a littertray, which you should get at your pet store. And if your rabbit wee's in one place, such as a corner, place the litter tray there filled with sawdust and hay. If not take some of there dirty bedding next time you clean them out, and place it in there litter tray, so they get the idea. Empty it once a day and clean the hole cage out once a week.

you need to put new shavings and take the old ones out once a week. and you need to completely clean it out with mild soap every week. make sure you do this or else rabbits can get deseases and get sick.

Every couple of days. You should bring your rabbits indoors. They are subject to predators, flystrike, heat stroke and hypothermia to name a few problems outdoors.
