There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......
(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

I just "love" this question! Love is actually only a 4 letter word! But we really know love to be the most desired thing in the whole world. Love CAN NOT be bought, love can be given away or recieved. There are many kinds and degrees of love. We were born to love and be loved. You can love your favorite movie, you can love your favorite food. You can love your best friend and love your girlfriend or boyfriend at the same time. You can love your mom or day or any family member. You can love going for long walks in the park. You can love to be alive. You can love your job. You can love your pet. You can love being in love! Love is more than a thought, it's a feeling deep within your self. Love is the greatest gift we can give or recieve. many people mistake "like" for love or mistake "lust" for love but let me assure you these two are definately not love as love makes you whole or complete and if it is real love YOU will absolutely know it!
It is a proven fact that we must have love to survive, there were studies with new born babies, there were two groups of newborns, one group recieved only the necessary feedings and diaper changes with nothing else, no attention, no touch, nothing other than the absolute basics. While the other group recieved feedings while being held and comforted, they recieved the soft voices of words, and diaper changes and complete interaction. This side was picked up when ever they cried out and they were held and rocked to sleep. This side recieved all of the attention.
The point doesn't prove "love" , It only proves that we all need people, touch and interaction, attention. All of these are needed to either give of recieve "love".
All in all love isn't something easily explained as it is up to your own interpetition. Love to me may be something else to you!
Love in international with no boundries, no color, race, religion. Love is needed in the whole entire world by each individual!
The greatest love of all.....is simply YOU!
Please forgive me as spell check was down!

A temporary insanity curable by marriage or by removal of the patient from the influences under which he incurred the disorder. This disease, like caries and many other ailments, is prevalent only among civilized races living under artificial conditions; barbarous nations breathing pure air and eating simple food enjoy immunity from its ravages. It is sometimes fatal, but more frequently to the physician than to the patient.

Love is the way your favorite pet always is sooo happy to see you no matter what...Doesn't care where you were, who you were with, how much you weigh, what you look like, or how much money you have.....He's happier than a pig in poop every time he sees you....Unconditionally, All the time..period.
