I don't think that Jews blame the Christians. Many Christians were imprisoned at that time and died in a Konzentrationslager. And Hitler and the Nazis did not follow the occult. What nonsense. Read your history book or go to a library. Hitler also never had a contract with the Vatican. One of the Officers wanted the Pope to help the Jews, but that Pope never did anything against it, as far as I know. But as I said, go get a book and read before you ask such questions.

Well the nation was predominantly Christian and yes many of these German Christians traded their faith for an occultic worship of Hitler and Nazism.
A Lutheran minister in Wisconsin (name escapes me) suggested that Hitler may have been possessed. Certainly, the Nazis put the destruction of European Jews ahead of any other concerns. In the Summer/Fall of 1944, the Germans spent considerable military and logistical effort in rounding up Hungarian Jews, even as the Soviets were destroying Army Group Centre.
Hitler's heart was certainly filled with a darkness. We may never know whether is was the human variety of evil or something supernatural. One must wonder though. Certainly, the Nazis gave us a frightening glimpse into Hell.
Christians must ever be wary of the politics which we support. Christian values are often swept aside in patriotic fervor and we would do well to remember that even in the US. If our government condones acts upon other people which go against these values....well then Christians should not remain silent...and certainly should not lent those acts the kind of vocal encouragement that we see today.

Most Nazis were not into the occult - Hitler for one. The occult was a hobby horse of Himmler who tried to imbue the SS with mystical ideas. Some early Nazi Ideologues were members of quasi mystical organisations like the Thule society. However many were former Catholics - the most prominent being Goebbels, Himmler, Hitler and the commandant of Auschwitz Rudolf Hoess. The Vatican did come to an 'arrangement' with the Nazis as a matter of historical record. Senior figures in the Vatican also helped many Nazis to escape justice after the war. Germany was a Christian society with a long history of anti semitism - witness Martin Luther - a rabid anti-semite.

St. Paul in the first century BC repositioned Christianity so that it was no longer, like Old Testament Judaism, tied to the Hebrew people. One consequence was that the Bible got codified including episodes which cast unfavourable light on the Jews - notably the demand of the Jews that Jesus be crucified despite the wishes of Pontius Pilate to spare Him. This had obvious advantages in particular for the Roman Catholic church when it was adopted by the Roman Empire as a state religion.
Nazi beliefs were a half-baked mishmash of all sorts of things. Some of its occult beliefs had advantages in that they implied that moral values were inherited at birth, hence justifying racism. The relationship between the Roman Catholic church in particular and churches generally on the one hand and Naziism on the other is also problematic: it was a mixture of opposition and accomodation.
The Roman Catholic Church was undeniably anti-Jewish for many centuries (so, incidentally, was Luther) and the Pope has officially apologised for this since the Second World War.

Some Nazis followed the occult - Himmler had some very weird ideas and tried to inculcate them into the SS mind-set. Hitler despised all that as mumbo-jumbo and saw Christianity as a Jewish plot to undermine the strength of Aryan Germany.
Hitler believed in the impersonal "rules" of history, if a nation was hard enough, ruthless enough and cared for nobody but itself and the people it considered part of its "Volk" then it could rule the world.
There were limited deals with the Catholic Church and indeed the Protestant Churches but Hitler had no intention of being bound by them. After the war he intended a reckoning with them.

Germany was and continues to be a mainly Catholic country. There are a number of theories that the Church could have been more pro-active in stopping the rise of the Hitler. A very good book on the subject is called 'Hitlers Pope', it was written by a Catholic journalist and as a Catholic myself was a 'real eye opener' to the 'behind the scenes' political lobbying that went on in the 1930s. It is somewhat heavy, but covers in very great detail the then Holy Fathers background and thinkings, which then became the Church's stance during the war years. Hope this helps?

On all Wermacht Soldiers belt buckles were imprinted the words "God Is With Us". In German of course. Quite a few German soldiers etc reckoned that Hitler WAS God!! Also, Hitler NEVER made a move about anything till he consulted his Astrologers. Makes you think dont it? It might do some of you folks out there who reckon hitler was a raving looney a favour to actually go and read "Miene Kamphe", a book by Hitler. Then you will maybe understand where he was coming from. Also remember, it wasnt HITLER who started the murdering of Jews and other denominations, Hitler had in the beginning forbade harm on other people BUT, as usual, he had nutters as his henchmen and by the time Hitler actually grasped what was happening, the deed had been done. Oh yeah, I believe he had also been told by that nice man Mr Geobals (spelling) that Jews were scum coz they murdered Christ. This is also another reason why Jews are hated by a whole lot of people. They get blamed for Christs death. Bloody stupid if you ask me!!

Religion is just an excuse to acquire more money or power.
People use it often.
Hebrews were persecuted since Pharao's period. They had more than 10 specifric persecutions between Ramses and Hitler. You had persecution in Spain, Venice, Italy, several in MiddleEast. Even Hebrew persecuted other Hebrews.
Hitler's administration killed more russians than Hebrews and if you take in consideration the proportion, more giipsy and polish were killed than Hebrews. Religion is just smoke. See beyond it.
