The Bush Administration has passed a law to make it so any project concerning energy production is protected by federal law.
In Coos Bay, Oregon they are building a Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) plant right on the outskirts of town. The people dont want it, neither does our senator (Peter DeFasio). Nobody can stop it from being built.
If this plant explodes it will wipe out 3 sqaure miles of our town including 2 schools, a mall, and the airport.
Whenever one of the delivery ships comes in we will have to evacuate the whole town 3 times a week.
Also they are building a 280 mile pipeline. anybodys property it touches will be confiscated with NO compensation. (I.E. they will take your land with or without your permission.)
they are building this LNG plant in oregon to supply California with natural gas. THEY CAN BUILD IN CALIFORNIA THEN!!
if you do not believe me read up on the Energy Act of 2005.
please contact you Senators and speak out.
THIS IS WRONG!!!
tell me your thoughts

I just got this in an email just now...

Dear Friends,

In the next few days, I will be traveling back to Chicago for a court appearance before Judge Lawrence O'Gara concerning my arrest on July 22 at the Closing Ceremony of Chicago's "Gay Games." I had been arrested while attempting to minister the Gospel on the public sidewalk that surrounds Wrigley Field. As I held a sign, which read, "Jesus said: Marriage = One Man + One Woman," and cited Matthew 19:4-6, a hostile police officer, Sergeant Gerardo Teneyuque, demanded that I leave, and in an attempt to force me away, began to shove and thrust his chest into me until I fell to the ground. I was then handcuffed, jailed for 8 hours, and charged with disorderly conduct.

Your liberal Government employees: BEING THERE PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE (of religion) THEROF (with court approval)?

The non-compensation part cannot stand. That's a 5th Amendment Takings violation, and will almost certainly be struck down.

Yes, the govt can take the property. With or without permission. That's eminent domain. But just compensation is required.

As far as the plant itself, remember that we live in a might-makes-right majority-rule society. People who are in the minority are stuck with the decisions of those in power. It's unfair, but so is any other might-makes-right system.

So what else is new. They have been taking our freedoms away now for a long time, so where were you then? To do anything about it you will have to get all the people to stand together and push. Take the trash out. Good luck, since it would be an act of treason according to our government.

So, what are we going to do about it?! Yeah, we need to take out the trash- big time. How can we reclaim our democracy? Intelligent people cannot stand by and watch one atrocity after another. They just keep adding to the list. Evil flourishes when good men do nothing. How much will the American people put up with, and what can be done?

What you are feeling reflects the ugly truth that America now is a delusional democracy, because our elected representatives no longer faithfully represented "we the people." Learn exactly how our democracy has been steadily falling apart in the new book "Delusional Democracy - Fixing the Republic Without Overthrowing the Government." You will also learn how to turn your anger into constructive ways to fix our democracy.
