Over in Australia, paint brands like Dulux and Solver are quite nice. You can also get a paint that I call 'cake paint' although not as good as the standard range, it smells just like cake, just gotta remember its not edible, its the one they have for people with allergies - not that I have any.

I can't really recommend a painting technique, but feature walls look awesome.

dulux (the pot of paint with a dog on) is pretty good, the less lasting paints are the ones like b&q paint (paints that are the shops own brand) but I guess they are ok just for you bedroom, i mean i have used them and they were fine. Obviously dulux or whatever is more expensive.

Does the room have any abode windows? crimson or darkish hues might make the room look very closed in and smaller. i like the terracotta concept. a chum of mine did her eating and kitchen in that shade. in case you think of that terracotta is to darkish try portray only the backside of the wall that shade and the surprising a million/2 in a lighter coloration. Use chair rail or wall paper border interior the middle. eco-friendly is a huge accessory shade. Oh, and in case you desire to make your ceiling look greater, try portray a band approximately 3 or 4 inches, all the way around the surprising of the wall into the white ceiling, with white. It provides the phantasm have having an better ceiling. i'm hoping I typed this so which you will comprehend. i'm no longer great on giving written training. I you desire be satisfied to e mail me. solid good fortune!

Your local paint store can answer all your questions. Introduce yourself to an individual, let them help you and then your have a source you can call that remembers you. But, go to a paint store, not one of your box stores. You may pay a little more but they are not crowded and they will remember you and it is worth the little extra you may pay.

if you are using semi-gloss or gloss , be sure to run the roller from the top of the wall down to the bottom in one stroke so you won't get any roller marks. I usually put paint on a 3 foot section of wall ,then do the final single stroke
