I find that interactive advertisements are by far the best. I find myself playing mini-golf, kicking field goals, pillow-fighting, etc. That's by far the only advertisements that get my hit.
IMHO, it's not what you advertise, it's how.

FREE FREE FREE-never in a million years is a compant gonna give everyone and their brother a free PSP or free vacation or what have you-hell I click on an ad once for a free Bible- a Bible that all it did was grab my e-mail address and at the end, charge me for shipping-THIS did not turn out to be free and if giving my e-mail address away was bad enough they thought here I would give them a credit card number. Mind you I dont own a credit card anyway but to give some web site you dont even know your credit card number is Just insane!!!

It depends on whether I like the site. If the site has good quality content than I visit the advertisers so they'll get paid. If the site stinks, isn't updated regularly or is a blatant copy of someone elses content, I won't visit any ads.
Also, if the site offers incentives to click, like the Cash-Splitters.com contest, than I will click. (of course, who wouldn't?!!)

I never click adverts, coz they:
- open multiple other windows
- risk of virus
- take me on long fruitless survey
- ask my personal info
- install spyware in my pc
- cause my screen to freeze
- some display embarrasing photos....
And if I were you I'd consider changing that avater...
