hey, doesn't fishing break a fish's jaw or something?

I want to know, cuz my family and i are fueding about this.

Not necessarily. I've got many fish and never broke a jaw. They usually get the hook in their lips or outer part of their mouths which is easy to get the hook out of. I would think that to break the jaw it would have to be a fairly strong fish that got caught under something while you were trying to land it. So I guess my answer would be no.
