The UK has a competitive advantage in the production of defence equipment. Legitamate democratic states have the moral and legal right to defend themselves. Private companies in the UK therefore have every right to do business which such governments.

Can you deny that the Repubic of South Africa should have an air defence? Or that Egypt should be able to patrol its own seas? The answer is surely that they have every right.

since when does Britain have a major Arms producer? The last one was the enfield armoury and to my knowledge they have closed shop years ago!!
The major sellers in the arms export are now the Russians. Both through legal but mostly through illegal ways. Since most African factions that need arms are either unstable regimes or "freedom fighters" They are under an arms trade ban by the UN. That's why most of them are supplied by illegal means. So they go through illigitemate channels to find their supplies. See the movie Lord of War if you want to get a pretty good picture of how the gun industry works?

No; it's more humane to arm them with a weapon that kills very quickly otherwise the natives would revert back to killing each other with sticks, stones etc. Most of our Africans in England are armed to the teeth anyway, so what's the problem?

People should stop making arms, sellling them, buying them wise up and just enjoy living.
I'm not saying we all need to love or even like each other, just stop harming and killing one another - where's the big deal in that?
