Why is the United Nations headquarters still in the U.S. if the U.N. hates the U.S. so much?

The United Nations has a history of practicing anti-Americanism as well as being anti-capitalism, being anti-semantic, praising terrorists over everyone else, being full of corruption and abuses of power, being overall everything and practicing everything that the U.S. doesn't do. With all of this hatred towards the U.S., the U.N. headquarters still remains in the U.S.! No matter what one's own views of the U.S. are (positive views of the U.S. and negative views of the U.S.), why not move the U.N. headquarters to some other country if the U.N. continues to hate the U.S. so much?

your statements are extremely biased and i hope no one is reading them as facts. the US has played power trips with the UN all along. the UN is an international body and it is meant to represent all of the nations of the world, but the US only wants it to represent US interests. if the UN does things that seem "anti-capitalist" that may be because not every nation is capitalist, and the UN needs to reflect that. if the UN does things that seem "anti-semetic" that may be because not everyone is jewish and not everyone agrees that jews should get everything they demand. and the UN gave them israel for crying out loud! and to suggest that the UN praises terrorists over everyone else is pure unsupported rhetoric.

it is the US government that tends to hate the UN and works against the UN. if the US government was more cooperative, they would recognize the need for the UN to act in the interest of ALL nations, and not just the US.

should the headquarters be moved? well, it might benefit the UN to be in a country that isn't constantly working to undermine its power. however, keep in mind that the UN is in New York City, a very international city. i doubt that the majority of residents of new york agree with your views on the UN.

Hey thank you for asking this question and believe me I agree with your statement 100% and keep educating our people around the globe and in my opinion I have no idea what are they doing in New york and The U.N. does not pay rent and owe money to the U.S. It is about time people around the world as such Europe like Denmark or Switzerland host the U.N. head quarter.Good luck and good buy.

I agree ,get them out of the US they are useless and ineffectual any way except in the capacity you already described. I'm really tired of all the USA bashing ,they hate us so stop giving them money or our support,the same for all the other nations that despise us and all we stand for.I for one am tired of throwing our money down a dry hole.And to russelm get real and please stay where ever it is you call your home,cause we sure don't need you to help the real terrorist,and next time your country cries that it needs help we are starving or we cant make it on our own ask the UN for money not the US.

Oh, if only the UN would leave the US. Never happen cause the US uses the UN all the time. Get rid of Security Council veto and the rest of their "statism" methods and have votes up or down and in secret ballot. Then you'd find out how bad the world really feels toward the US.

There is no person who have guts to tell it to move...there is no one who has guts to protect if USA does any wrong.Example, when U.N asked not to attack Iraq and USA didnt listen no one.It attacked.
So in that sence there is no use of this organization.Its the place to use tools for attack or pressure for a nation by USA. America very fonds of destroying a nation which doesnt listen or getting rich economically, with taking other nations who are follower of her(USA) govt.If no nation agree with her govt. then USA by herself will attack the nation somhow(eg. Iraq).

So why U.N?Whats there wheather its in USA or in somewhereelse?Rather as U.N is the place for the leader of terrorist(as USA makes terrorist like OSAMA Bin laden....as at the time of destroying Soviet Union america build him up as terrorist) so this office should be near to USA president's house so that he doesnt need enough time to tell world what its going to do..which country need to destroy right now..where it can attack...for that if need they can sacrifice lots of soldires including British , germany , australian soldiers.....there is no value of soldiers life.
