dont listen to wheels, he is just being a smart azz. if you never did it before, you will probably need to cut some hair off with small scissors first before shaving. but be very careful! then soak yourself in warm water for about 10 minutes and be sure to wash area well. after that, apply a womans shaving cream like aveeno for sensitive skin to lessen the chance for getting shave bumps. try not to get a chill while shaving, that will also increase your chance of getting shave bumps. shave upwards on the very bottom third (the area towards your butt), shave inwards on the middle third, and shave downwards on the top third (the part closest to the top of your pubic bone is the top third). just be sure to never use a brand new razor, use a new one on your legs first and after it is "broken in" then use it in your private area. i have been doing it many years and dont have a problem with bumps or irritation. those that do either have extremely sensitive skin, are doing it wrong, or are not prepping correctly first.

You didn't mention just how much you plan on shaving, but I can say that if you do the whole kitty, you will find that to be rather uncomfortable. When it begins to grow in, it gets itchy, sticks to your panties and is not worth it. If you mean you are just tiding up a bit, you won't get bumps if you get some nice warm water and shave cream to assist. Don't apply any lotion.

At first, it will be uncomfortable after you shave because yes you will have ingrown hair aka "bumps" and it will itch like a mofo.
But I have been doing it for about 3 years now and it never bothers me. A lot of the time I cant do it all, so my bf does it (and loves it).

It will get all bumpy n when the hair start growin back you'll have a hard time putting the panty on for the rest of the day. Makes the hair really hard and thick and bushy!! Do you want your guy to loose his way in that thicket? Plus theres always a chance of injury or infection and I dont need to tell you what would that be like.

Expect the red bumps. Shave downward, never against the natural growth pattern. As for something bad, you could cut yourself. That hurts!

I am a guy and believe me, when I was shaved for surgery down there, it wasn't fun growing back. Also, my wife was shaved for surgery down there and it was the same agony. Just trim with sissors to keep the long ones from sticking out of your bathing suit.

First trim the hair. Use soap, allot of soap, if you don't you will get razor burns. then after you shave use Aloe Vera on the skin.

i know u said girls only but i just have t get my 2 cents in - i know it is a personal thing and if u want to do it fine - many girls and ladies do - BUT - many men including myself find a nice bush very attractive especially one that is just trimmed nicely with sissors - it also feels good to a male during sex - during oral sex a shaved one feels like touching a cats tongue - yuk - let it grow dear and be proud of it

You could have razor burn. It itches when it grows back in if you don't keep it up.

Yes you can count on something else bad happening. I can't tell you here what it will be, but you can count on it being horrible. Things will begin to fall off if you know what I mean...
