Some people have piss and vinegar in their blood. (no not really)

*It is an expression.. It means you're harsh and difficult.

Like Me!

but really...
It is from a high acid content in the body. That is how gold reacts to heavy minerals and acid. People who are prone to contact dermatitis are prone to sensitivity to metals.

I am allergic to most metals with the exception of platinum and solid silver. Gold turns my skin black or green and other kinds of metals cause blistering and itching.

if gold makes a black mark on your skin then it isn't REAL gold. It is gold plated

It's not actually the gold that's making the mark, it's the other parts of the alloy usually.

I, for example, am allergic to NICKEL.
"Good" gold doesn't use a lot of nickel in the alloy (14karat gold is not 100% gold you know)

The answer is .. "They have a chemically allergic reaction to one of the metals"

I'm not quite sure but I know it makes a mark on my skin. I think it has to do with the ammount of some element in your skin.

It's probably a lower carat weight, meaning that it has more additives in it. People can be allergic to any of them. One of the most common to cause problems is nickel.
