I live in Georgia,USA and it is hot here. I wouldn't be able to stand cold, dull weather starting in August. I guess that is why , as I've heard, alot of people start drinking early in the day there. If you can afford it , try to plan a short trip to warmer climates a couple of times during those wretched months. It will give you something to look forward to without killing your liver.

Do something worthwhile and will make you feel good while helping someone else.

Volunteer. Think about your skills, likes and pick a cause and go help. Considering how many people in the world need assistance reading and writing alone, maybe being a literacy volunteer would be good. Or, help out at your nearest food bank, people have to eat.

I was bored in Englnd so I moved to Japan! Its the best thing Ive ever done. you can get a job in another country if you have no commitiments - it might change your whole life.

If that isnt an option - try something new - sport/ a club/ a new job/ a kitten/ volunteer. Dont waste your life - you can do anything!

It's warming up a bit now. Go to the South Bank in London, get onto the London Eye, just as it's getting dark. It's amazing . You won't be bored!

Psh. Take a trip to Italy. Haha...looking for something to do at home? well, you could: take a microwavable bowl. Fill it with mini marshmallows. Microwave it for about 30 seconds, untill it expands a little. then, take it out, take a spoon or even just a chopstick and eat it. its sooo good!..... or you could get a bunch of friends together, and have a scavenger hunt in your largest department store. i know, i know, childish. but you'll have fun. have a group of about 10 people, and split into 2 groups. create a list of ten items (its harder when its specific) and give it to the other team. and then you know the rest- winner owes the other a drink or a pizza or something. haha i doubt you'll do that suggestion....make cookies. write to a family member you haven't spoken to in a while. seriously. do something you never would. get out of the country- and limit yourself 100 dollar...or um euros to spend. challenge? uhuh.

Go for a nice long walkTM simulator

Get DOSBOX and relive all those old PC games, such as Lemmings :) Works great.
I like Lemmings II

NB: Psygnosis - Windows XP version please.

also

http://www.superiorinteractive.com have redone the Repton series! :)

and there are lots of emulators out there.

I have a BBCB one that allows you to relive games such as Frogger LOL and PacMan! :)

Caprice32 Windows version allows me to relive the Amstrad CPC 6128 days. :)

Finally, there is a game on Yahoo! called Literai.
Based on Scrabble (without copyright issues).

Incidentally, most of this I have been able to download as it has become 'Abandonware'.

http://www.blitwise.com/index.html... and get Super DX-Ball.
Click the bouncing ball when it arrives in the - space to get all the original free DX-Ball 1.9 levels. 50 of them free hidden in the Shareware version. Click MegaBall in the description pane and get 20 more bonus levels appear. :)
