If your having an idle problem it could be the TPS (Throttle Position Switch) this is the most common problem with your vehicle. This part varies in price from 18-30 bucks and is simple to replace. Also could be bad or dirty IAC, PCM, their is a Gm Service Bulletin For The Stalling And Idle Problems (2 One For The Idle Stalling Issues And One For The Heater Air Direction Switch).

Idle problems have been reported as soon as 55,000 miles on your vehicle. To be sure you should take it to a shop and have a diag done on it. ... BEWARE of parts replacers some shops will tell you that you need a tune-up and when the problem is not resolved they'll tell you something else.
