Are you sure it isn't an allergy to his diapers? My daughter had that for the first month of her life. I was changing her constantly, and trying every product known to man.
Try switching to a different brand and see if that helps. Keep cornstarch powder on his bottom.
I usually use Butt-Paste on my daughter's rashes, and if that doesn't work I take her in for a prescription.

My daughter has had diaper rash since birth. I have used everything in the book on her. I have tried over the counter stuff, Rx stuff. Even stuff not really intended for diaper rash. A ointment called Xenaderm helped some, but the best combination I have tried so far is Desitin and cornstarch baby powder. Put the destitin on first and the coat it with powder. I have stopped buying th small tubes of desitin and started buying big tubs of it. We go through a tub a week. Her bottom will clear up some but never completly then it gets worse again. She does not get any juice yet either. Good Luck. I hope you find something that helps your little one.

Have you tried Calmoseptine? It's non-prescription, but you have to ask the pharmacist for it. It's VERY thick, zinc based, and also contains calamine and menthol, so it's very soothing. If your baby has any actual open or gooey places, put Neosporin on those places a few times a day. Also, remember not to use baby wipes (even the unscented, hypoallergenic ones, as they still burn.). Use a soft, damn wash cloth until the baby's behind clears up.
If it's been like this for a while, you might awnt to consider taking him to the doctor...he could have a yeast or fungal infection that won't be cleared up by anything other than a prescription cream. Also, it might be his diapers. Some babies are allergic to certain types of diapers.

This is from my pediatrician and works wonders. Aquafor and cortizone for the itching, within one diaper change you can tell it is working. You can find aquafor in the lotion isle. Also stop using baby wipes until the rash is gone, use warm soapy water and a wash cloth, let the babies bottom air dry before you but on the next diaper. Doing all of that will have your baby's bottom cleared up in a day or less!! Good luck!!

well use baby powder to keep it dry till it clears up. It took me a long time to find the right diaper cream for my second.... andi use SUDOCREM it is found in a grey container, with a red and white label. after trying about 8 different ones this one worked the best. I never had a problem with my first son, BUT i was extra attentive ( cause you can when theres just one) and i put vaseline on his bum after every bath, and he might have had diaper rash 2 times is whole life and that was usually from a long road trip. if your brave, let the little bottom dry out a bit, then put on the diaper, with some powder..once it clears up, use vaseline after diaper changes.

I had this problem with my 1st boy. I don't know how old he/she is, but here are the only things that helped my son.
1-Neosporen
2-Leaving him without a diaper (naked) belly down on a sheet off and on a few hours a day
3-Using cloth diapers without the plastic cover as much as possible
4-Don't leave thick creams like Desitin on the skin constantly
5-After using a wipe, use plain water to rinse off anything left by the wipe
6-Huggies natural wipes are great
We went through this until he was about 7-8months. I hope this helps. It is sooooo hard to watch your child suffer and go through every cream on the market (over the counter and RX) and have them not help. Best of luck to you and God Bless!

I'm doing infant potty training on my baby, because she has the same problem and nothing works, not even antifungals. It's working out great and she's out of diapers most of the time. We're still waiting for the rash to clear up completely though. Sometimes it takes a while if your baby has extremely sensitive skin like mine.

I would consult your pediatrician first. Options he/she may recommend are:
*Change brand of diapers, possibly to a natural or organice material
*Change to a cotton cloth or natural brand of wipes
*Let baby sit twice per day in a warm oatmeal bath (Aveeno, etc.) for about 15 minutes, and air dry if at all possible
*Before re-diapering, coat baby's entire bottom with a zinc-oxide cream (Desitin works great)
*Do NOT wipe all of the cream off at each diaper change; it is forming a barrier between the baby's bottom and the soiling or diaper; but DO gently wipe baby's bottom and add more cream each time
Here's a recipe for chemical-free wipes you can make:
2 Tbs. baby soap, 2 Tbs. baby oil, 2 cups water, 1/2 roll of Bounty Big Roll (white!--cut with electric carving knife)--mix all liquids in a 3-qt or 10 cup Rubbermaid container and put the paper towels cut-side down into it. Turn sealed container upside down until all liquid is absorbed.
Good luck!

My baby has been using the toilet for peeing and pooping since he was 11 weeks. So, he does not get diaper rashes. We use the same technique they use for pottying in India, Asia, and Africa. There's a wonderful website diaperfreebaby.org that can give you all the information to get started. My favorite book on the subject is Infant Potty Training. You can buy it on amazon.com. I am a pediatric RN nursing instructor and am teaching my students this method of pottying babies. I was intimidated by it at first since I'd never heard of it until I was pregnant. Now I realize how easy it is. Please note, this is a technique that requires you to develop good communication skills with your baby. You're not really training them so much as you are learning to tend their needs in a much gentler way than we Americans have been taught to do.

WAsh , wash and again wash!!!!
Use no soap just lookwarm water.
Put a thick towel on the floor and let the baby with no diaper on for a few hours everyday.
It could be yeast infection. Try diluting baking soda in his bath. Creams make things worse if it is a yeast infection. Check with a doctor, you might need a antifungal cream.
