I can't believe this BBC 'comedy' keeps getting recommisioned. Who watches it? I managed 15 minutes of it last night (my third attempt at watching it) and I had to turn over - it was awful and not remotely funny.
Am I missing something, is it really a genius comedy show or is the BBC just lazy with their prime time tv?

I used to watch my hero all the time but with that new actor in and everything BBC is just getting desperate. I think everyone has just gave up on them. Now the only place I watch my hero is on UK TV GOLD it isn't the best comedy but some episodes are OK I dint really have much interest in it now and I surprised when it came on BBC. Now on BBC it's either soaps or repeats or sports programmes. It's boring!!

Is very sad. Not funny.
Fortunately I've not managed to watch it for about the last all series. No wonder Father Ted quit.
James Dreyfus - stick to The Thin Blue Line (excellent) and Willo the Wisp II (not seen yet - have you ruined that)? I realise Ben Elton doesn't think he is funny. But for me his comedies have been great writing! :)

Oh my god isn't it awful. It was almost bearable with Ardle Ohanlan(don't know how to spell), I'm from Liverpool but the scouser in it is one of the most annoying people on the telly. Now that James Dreyfus is in it it has got 400 percent worse. He's good at camp but just not convincing at straight is he. Horrible tv.

I tried watching it a few years ago & like you just didn't get it. When I went on holiday a few weeks ago (Spain), I saw it aired over there! I didn't realise it was being recommissioned and is still gracing (or is that disgracing) our tv set, to think we pay our hard earned cash for tv license and get this garbage. However, I am sure it must tickle someone's pickle somewhere or they would have dropped it by now.

If there is something else better on I was watching that, but it is just ridiculous now, the way they expect us to believe that new bloke is the new thermoman yeh whatever. It was a good show in its heyday but its run its course now. Should be cancelled for ever.

I loved the old series with Ardal O'Hanlon but the new Thermo Man annoys the sh*t out of me.

Being a My Hero expert it used to be quite good when the irish geezer did it but now there is a new guy [from gimme gimme]and its crud even though he was fab in gimme gimme

I try to like it cause i like Ardal Ohanlon but its not easy cause its pretty much jokeless. Ardal basically plays Dougal From Father Ted.
