I quit my job due to a change in how my bonus was calculated. They made it impossible for me to keep collections under 5%. They still wanted the same work for less pay. I was not allowed to deduct for the checks that we were holding for later deposit, rejection fees etc. This is not what was agreed upon when I took over the collections 4 yrs ago.

If you can prove that your employer violated your contract of employment, you might get unemployment. But the burden of proof is on you.

If you were good at your job, you should be able to find another soon enough.

I don't understand the social security reference. Are you on disability? In that case you were on "trial work" and you only get a limited period of such work before SDI ends for good anyway.

If you are on a Social Security pension you may find that pension deducted from unemployment benefits, so you wouldn't get much anyway. See the second link below from the AARP site.

Great ... I'm glad I go to work every day to pay my bills and to keep you alive and well ... Another drain on the system ... It's also nice that I can provide for you and see that you are spending your time so wisely on the Internet researching ways to cheat the system instead of finding a job ... You should be ashamed of yourself ... What a embarrassment .. I bet your parents are proud . You're a waist of air . Just remember what comes around goes around ... When your sitting there wondering why all these bad things keep happening to you , just think back to this instance and remember you had it coming ...

GET A JOB

Your excuse is lame. You should have looked for another job while still employed. Your actions reek of immaturity!

Hey - why don't you just get pregnant now and stay home and collect welfare too!

No, if you quit, you look after yourself. You shouldn't quit one job until you have another.

And you don't get two bites of the cherry; no unemployment if you are drawing social security.

No unemployment if you quit. You should have stayed until they fired you.
