I had implants early last year, and my hubby and I are planning on TTC starting November. We want to breastfeed, but with the implants I was just curious if it were any different than normal,or numb feeling? I did talk to the Dr. when the surgery was done, and he said should be no problems..Im just curious if anyone had good/bad experiences on this topic. Thanks!

It sounds like you've discussed the placement of your incisions with your surgeon, to find out whether they damaged any ducts or major nerves. Beyond that, all you can do is try. (sorry no personal experience here, but hey-- it worked for Pam Anderson)
On the other hand, if you had implants due to underdeveloped breasts, you may lack the milk producing glands to produce a full supply even before surgery.
Also, isn't it great to see so many dudes concerned with your query? (*scoff*)

I have a friend that had breast implants about 5 years ago. She had her first baby about 15 months ago. She breastfed for 5 months with no problems at all. She has her second one now; she is also nursing number 2 with no problems. Getting implants doesnt directly effect the breastmilk "ducts" unless the surgery wasnt properly performed. No worries.... nurse... though do know from my experience... it's not easy to get started. You surely have to be determined. And that has nothing to do with implants. :o)

Good luck on getting pregnant and nursing. :o)

I have heard that breastfeeding is possible after having implants, but after a breast reduction it is not possible, but am not 100% sure on that. Talk to your OB/GYN or a lactation consultant.

If that is you in the pic, I don't know why you had implants. I haven't heard any one with implants say that they can't breast feed.

Your boobs are big enough already! did your soldier husband need it? Feed the baby first then get implant when the child doesnt need milk.
