Multiply the left by the 5. That gives you 30x + 20.
Multiply the right by the 4. That gives you 8x + 40.
Now you have 30x+20 = 8x+40
Subtract 20 from both sides. Now you have 30x = 8x+20
Subtract 8x from both sides. Now you have 22x=20
Divide both sides by 220. Now you have x = 20/22.
To clean the answer up you can divide the fraction by 2
Now you end up with x = 10/11
You can also divide the 10 by the 11 to get a decimal of .9090
To check that substitute the 10/11 into anyplace you see the x
That gives you 300/11 = 300/11 so the answer is good.

Just to get it started u really should do it on your own:
5(6x+4)=4(2x+10) =>[5(6x+4)-4(2x+10)]/20 = 0 =>
(30x+20 -8x-40)/20 =0

Use the distributive property to solve for each side...
that would be 30x +20 = 8x + 40. Now subtract 8x from both sides. That would give you 22x + 20 = 40. Now subtract 20 from both sides... that's 22x = 20. Now divide both sides by 22, and that gives you x = 20/22 or 10/11.

However, you should always plug your answer back into the ORIGINAL equation.
So, let's do just that:
5(6(.9091) + 4) = 4(2(.9091)+10)
5(5.4546 + 4) = 4(1.8182 + 10)
